Show discontinuous line series

Hello,

I´m trying to make a line-chart with various series. Some of them are incomplete (doesn´t have all values set)
I´m using an XML to pass the values. How do I pass the 'null' values? I want to represent discontinuous sets of data.
Is this possible with this component?

I'm not sure about exactly is discontinuous data, can you please give us a link or an image with an example? Thanks!
