How do I display Weekdays on the X-axis?

Is it possible to do anything besides numbers along the x-axis? I want to do a graph with days of the week on the x-axis. I also want to do one with date and time (04/11/2011 12:32pm) along the x-axis. I'm using XML files to store my data and it seems that when i put anything besides a number after <data unit=" the graph goes down.
Please help the projects due Friday!!

Can you provide some code please? Normally it should be fine if in the first value on the x-axis an non-numeric character is detected.
