Re: Not working with IE6 - 15 years ago
myChart.setIntervalEndY(0); myChart.setIntervalStartY(0); setIntervalEndY() should always be higher than setIntervalStartY(). About the other errors mentioned in this topic... It is about the SVG charset again, which seems to limit our users too much already. Mndatamule is right, IE6 seems not to like one or more of the characters in the source code if the page Content-Type is set to utf-8.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: Tooltip pieChart - 15 years ago
Actually the 'label' should be the 'name' of the pie section. For example: ... myChart.setDataArray([['pie_section_1', 20], ['pie_section_2', 10]]); myChart.setTooltip(['pie_section_1', 'tooltip_content']); ...by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: Using the date as the x-axis - 15 years ago
Check the line charts Templates with texts on the X axis. The chart needs real values that can be used to render the line, but you can make these values invisible and use setLabelX () for the dates.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: russian characters - 15 years ago
For now we are not able to add new characters. Most probably in the future versions the texts in the charts will be plain texts in DIVs and you shouldn't have these problems anymore. Unfortunately we can't make any estimate on when this version will be released.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: Internationalization and format numbers? - 15 years ago
I was propably wrong, I had another look through the code and perhaps we have what you need. I have made a complete list of the supported characters in JsCharts: !"#$%&\()*+,-./0123456789:;<=>?@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ[]^_`abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz{|}~'¡¢£¤¥¦§¨©ª«¬®¯°±²³´µ¶·¸¹º»¼½¾¿ÀÁÂÃÄÅÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖ×ØÙÚÛÜÝÞby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: russian characters - 15 years ago
We have no Russian characters support for now, in this version we use SVG for rendering graphics and also texts. The only supported characters are the following: !"#$%&\()*+,-./0123456789:;<=>?@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ[]^_`abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz{|}~'¡¢£¤¥¦§¨©ª«¬®¯°±²³´µ¶·¸¹º»¼½¾¿ÀÁÂÃÄÅÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖ×ØÙÚÛÜÝÞby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: not working at ie6 - 15 years ago
Any Javascript error showing up? Some code samples would help to see if there's anything wrong with the implementation. If you do not want to make your code public you can send it through PM. Thanks!by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: No display in IE7 - 15 years ago
I have tested the example-1 of pie chart in both IE6 and IE7. The example itself is working, so I think if you can show me some code I might be able to help you more.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: inverse Y - 15 years ago
Understood, thank you. We will take your proposal in consideration for the next versions.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: JSCharts compatible with MooTools? - 15 years ago
We tried to limit any global variables or functions and we haven't use Prototypes to add functionality, so I guess there should be no problem. But please give us a notice if you find anyby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: inverse Y - 15 years ago
No. We only have support now for positive values, and the lowest will always be at the bottom. But I want to know exactly how do you imagine this graph should look? Looks new to me this kind of chart. You only need the values on the Y axis be reversed (the lowest at the top and the highest at the bottom)?by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: Internationalization and format numbers? - 15 years ago
Officially we are using the same formatting in Romania, but we are also used to the usual English format. I am not sure how important is this type of format. It cannot be done for now, but I added this to the features proposed for the next versions.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: Internationalization and format numbers? - 15 years ago
Unfortunately we have not yet been able to do this. Now we are using SVG for rendering text and we have a limited character set for now. We might switch to plain text instead of SVG but it will need a lot of changes and will take time. We are not sure if we should do this for the next release.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support

Can you please give us the error message you are getting and in which browser? Thanks!by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: String value on Line Chart - 15 years ago
Yes and no. You should provide numbers to the X axis, you can't use strings for this. But you could hide these values so that they are not rendered and then associate labels with any of these values. Please check the documentation and the http://www.jscharts.com/interface/template/id.63 template (click this link after logging in jscharts).by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: Dates on X axis - 15 years ago
Can't use strings for X axis values in line charts. But you might use labels. Please check the documentation and the http://www.jscharts.com/interface/template/id.63 template on jscharts.com (click this link after you log into jscharts).by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: setTitlePosition - 15 years ago
<option set="setTitlePosition" value="'left'" /> I know it probably sounds silly but for the moment the values must be typed exactly as they would be Javascript code, in this case 'left' is a string and needs the single quotes around. PS - Sorry to reply to your questions so late, I had a few days off...by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support

Re: 2 series in line chart - 15 years ago
We do not have a fixed schedule for the next version. It will be launched next year, but cannot tell exactly a date. There is a long list of features that must be implemented and for now we are only following the users' feedback.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: time in x-axis - 15 years ago
Not specifically 'time vs value', but on the page, the last example is using Labels on the Y axis. myChart.setLabelY([0, 'Low']); myChart.setLabelY([5, 'Medium']); myChart.setLabelY([10, 'High']); In this example the label is associated with a value on the Y axis. In your graphs you could set labels like '10:00', '10:30' etc on the X axis. But for now, the labels can only be associated witby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: pie from textarea - 15 years ago
It is possible, but It also depends on the type of names[] and values[]. For line charts, both must be numbers (integers or floating numbers). For bar and pie charts, names[] can be a string, and values[] must be a number again.by sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: pie from textarea - 15 years ago
Keeping the quotes arround ['dogs',50],['cats',30],['rats',20] will transform the data into a string. pom = "['dogs',50],['cats',30],['rats',20]"; pom will be a string, but you will need a list of arrays (the brackets here are equivalent to new Array() ). You have a few options here, you can use the next code: pom = new Array(['dogs',50],['cats',30],['rats',20]); var myData = pom; oby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: 2 series in line chart - 15 years ago
Unfortunately this cannot be done with JS Charts, for now. We are planning to implement this feature in the next versions, for all chart types. Regards, Sabinby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: pie from textarea - 15 years ago
Can you please give us more information? What is the actual data you have in the textareas? Thanks, Sabinby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
Re: time in x-axis - 15 years ago
Hi, To extend the axis beyond the graph's actual data, you can use the setIntervalStartX and setIntervalEndX options (or setIntervalStartY and setIntervalEndY if it's about the vertical axis). I hope this helps, Sabinby sabinmunteanu - Discussions & Support
